Day 1

Problem 1

  • Day 1

Given a convex quadrilateral ABCDABCD , side ABAB is not parallel to side CDCD . The circle O1O_1 passing through AA and BB is tangent to side CDCD at PP . The circle O2O_2 passing through CC and DD is tangent to side ABAB at QQ . Circle O1O_1 and circle O2O_2 meet at EE and FF . Prove that EFEF bisects segment PQPQ if and only if BC∥ADBC\parallel AD .

Problem 2

  • Day 1

Let xx be a natural number. We call {x0,x1,…,xl}\{x_0,x_1,\dots ,x_l\} a factor linkof xx if the sequence {x0,x1,…,xl}\{x_0,x_1,\dots ,x_l\} satisfies the following conditions: (1) x0=1,xl=xx_0=1, x_l=x ; (2) xi−1<xi,xi−1∣xi,i=1,2,…,lx_{i-1}<x_i, x_{i-1}|x_i, i=1,2,\dots,l . Meanwhile, we define ll as the length of the factor link {x0,x1,…,xl}\{x_0,x_1,\dots ,x_l\} . Denote by L(x)L(x) and R(x)R(x) the length and the number of the longest factor link of xx respectively. For x=5k×31m×1990nx=5^k\times 31^m\times 1990^n , where k,m,nk,m,n are natural numbers, find the value of L(x)L(x) and R(x)R(x) .

Problem 4

  • Day 2

Given a positive integer number aa and two real numbers AA and BB , find a necessary and sufficient condition on AA and BB for the following system of equations to have integer solution: {x2+y2+z2=(Ba)2x2(Ax2+By2)+y2(Ay2+Bz2)+z2(Az2+Bx2)=14(2A+B)(Ba)4\left\{\begin{array}{cc} x^2+y^2+z^2=(Ba)^2 x^2(Ax^2+By^2)+y^2(Ay^2+Bz^2)+z^2(Az^2+Bx^2)=\dfrac{1}{4}(2A+B)(Ba)^4\end{array}\right.

Problem 5

  • Day 2

Given a finite set XX , let ff be a rule such that ff maps every even-element-subset EE of XX (i.e. E⊆XE \subseteq X , ∣E∣|E| is even) into a real number f(E)f(E) . Suppose that ff satisfies the following conditions: (I) there exists an even-element-subset DD of XX such that f(D)>1990f(D)>1990 ; (II) for any two disjoint even-element-subsets A,BA,B of XX , equation f(A∪B)=f(A)+f(B)−1990f(A\cup B)=f(A)+f(B)-1990 holds. Prove that there exist two subsets P,QP,Q of XX satisfying: (1) P∩Q=∅P\cap Q=\emptyset , P∪Q=XP\cup Q=X ; (2) for any non-even-element-subset SS of PP (i.e. S⊆PS\subseteq P , ∣S∣|S| is odd), we have f(S)>1990f(S)>1990 ; (3) for any even-element-subset TT of QQ , we have f(T)≤1990f(T)\le 1990 .

Problem 6

  • Day 2

A convex nn -gon and its n−3n-3 diagonals which have no common point inside the polygon form a subdivision graph. Show that if and only if 3∣n3|n , there exists a subdivision graphthat can be drawn in one closed stroke. (i.e. start from a certain vertex, get through every edges and diagonals exactly one time, finally back to the starting vertex.)
