Problem 1

In an acute triangle ABCABC , AB<ACAB<AC . ADAD is the altitude dropped onto BCBC and PP is a point on ADAD . Let PE⊥ACPE\perp AC at EE , PF⊥ABPF\perp AB at FF and let J,KJ,K be the circumcentres of triangles BDF,CDEBDF, CDE respectively. Prove that J,K,E,FJ,K,E,F are concyclic if and only if PP is the orthocentre of triangle ABCABC .

Problem 2

In a 7×87\times 8 chessboard, 5656 stones are placed in the squares. Now we have to remove some of the stones such that after the operation, there are no five adjacent stones horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Find the minimal number of stones that have to be removed.

Problem 3

For positive integers k,mk,m , where 1≤k≤51\le k\le 5 , define the function f(m,k)f(m,k) as f(m,k)=∑i=15[mk+1i+1]f(m,k)=\sum_{i=1}^{5}\left[m\sqrt{\frac{k+1}{i+1}}\right] where [x][x] denotes the greatest integer not exceeding xx . Prove that for any positive integer nn , there exist positive integers k,mk,m , where 1≤k≤51\le k\le 5 , such that f(m,k)=nf(m,k)=n .
