Problem 1

Let R+\mathbb{R}^+ denote the set of positive real numbers. Find all functions f:R+→R+f : \mathbb{R}^+\to\mathbb{R}^+ that satisfy (1+yf(x))(1−yf(x+y))=1\Big(1+yf(x)\Big)\Big(1-yf(x+y)\Big)=1 for all x,y∈R+x,y\in\mathbb{R}^+ .

Problem 2

For positive integers aa and kk , define the sequence a1,a2,…a_1,a_2,\ldots by a1=a,andan+1=an+k⋅ϱ(an)for n=1,2,…a_1=a, \text{and} a_{n+1}=a_n+k\cdot\varrho(a_n) \text{for } n=1,2,\ldots where ϱ(m)\varrho(m) denotes the product of the decimal digits of mm (for example, ϱ(413)=12\varrho(413)=12 and ϱ(308)=0\varrho(308)=0 ). Prove that there are positive integers aa and kk for which the sequence a1,a2,…a_1,a_2,\ldots contains exactly 20092009 different numbers.

Problem 3

Let ω\omega denote the excircle tangent to side BCBC of triangle ABCABC . A line ℓ\ell parallel to BCBC meets sides ABAB and ACAC at points DD and EE , respectively. Let ω′\omega' denote the incircle of triangle ADEADE . The tangent from DD to ω\omega (different from line ABAB ) and the tangent from EE to ω\omega (different from line ACAC ) meet at point PP . The tangent from BB to ω′\omega' (different from line ABAB ) and the tangent from CC to ω′\omega' (different from line ACAC ) meet at point QQ . Prove that, independent of the choice of ℓ\ell , there is a fixed point that line PQPQ always passes through.

Problem 4

Given a circle, let ABAB be a chord that is not a diameter, and let CC be a point on the longer arc ABAB . Let KK and LL denote the reflections of AA and BB , respectively, about lines BCBC and ACAC , respectively. Prove that the distance between the midpoint of ABAB and the midpoint of KLKL is independent of the choice of CC .

Problem 5

The nn -tuple (a1,a2,…,an)(a_1,a_2,\ldots,a_n) of integers satisfies the following: list 1≤a1<a2<⋯<an≤501\le a_1<a_2<\cdots < a_n\le 50 (ii) for each nn -tuple (b1,b2,…,bn)(b_1,b_2,\ldots,b_n) of positive integers, there exist a positive integer mm and an nn -tuple (c1,c2,…,cn)(c_1,c_2,\ldots,c_n) of positive integers such that mbi=ciaifor i=1,2,…,n.mb_i=c_i^{a_i} \text{for } i=1,2,\ldots,n. [/list]Prove that n≤16n\le 16 and determine the number of nn -tuples (a1,a2,…,an(a_1,a_2,\ldots,a_n ) satisfying these conditions for n=16n=16 .

Problem 6

Let n≥16n\ge 16 be an integer, and consider the set of n2n^2 points in the plane: G={(x,y)∣x,y∈{1,2,…,n}}.G=\big\{(x,y)\mid x,y\in\{1,2,\ldots,n\}\big\}. Let AA be a subset of GG with at least 4nn4n\sqrt{n} elements. Prove that there are at least n2n^2 convex quadrilaterals whose vertices are in AA and all of whose diagonals pass through a fixed point.
