Other problems

Problem 1

Show that a convex polyhedron with an odd number of faces has at least one face with an even number of edges.

Problem 2

There exists infinitely many positive integers such that a3+1990b3=c4a^3 + 1990b^3 = c^4 .

Problem 3

Each face of a tetrahedron is a triangle with sides a,b,a, b, c and the tetrahedon has circumradius 1. Find a2+b2+c2a^2 + b^2 + c^2 .

Problem 4

ABCDABCD is a quadrilateral, E,F,G,HE,F,G,H are midpoints of AB,BC,CD,DAAB,BC,CD,DA . Find the point P such that area(PHAE)=area(PEBF)=area(PFCG)=area(PGDH)area (PHAE) = area (PEBF) = area (PFCG) = area (PGDH) .

Problem 5

Let f(x)=ax+bcx+df(x)=\frac{ax+b}{cx+d} Fn(x)=f(f(f...f(x)...))F_n(x)=f(f(f...f(x)...)) (with n f′sn\ f's )

Suppose that f(0)≠0f(0) \not =0 , f(f(0))≠0f(f(0)) \not = 0 , and for some nn we have Fn(0)=0F_n(0)=0 , show that Fn(x)=xF_n(x)=x (for any valid x).
