OBM 1984 Problem 5

$ABCD$ is any convex quadrilateral. Squares center $E, F, G, H$ are constructed on the outside of the edges $AB, BC, CD$ and $DA$ respectively. Show that $EG$ and $FH$ are equal and perpendicular.
