Problem 1

Consider the set A={1,2,3…,2n},n≥2A=\{1,2,3\ldots ,2^n\}, n\ge 2 . Find the number of subsets BB of AA such that for any two elements of AA whose sum is a power of 22 exactly one of them is in BB .

Problem 2

Let f:R+→R+f:\mathbb{R}^+\to\mathbb{R}^+ be a function that satisfies for all x>y>0x>y>0 f(x+y)−f(x−y)=4f(x)f(y)f(x+y)-f(x-y)=4\sqrt{f(x)f(y)} a) Prove that f(2x)=4f(x)f(2x)=4f(x) for all x>0x>0 ; b) Find all such functions.

Problem 4

Let pp be a prime such that p2p^2 divides 2p−1−12^{p-1}-1 . Prove that for all positive integers nn the number (p−1)(p!+2n)\left(p-1\right)\left(p!+2^n\right) has at least 33 different prime divisors.

Problem 5

The triangle ABCABC is such that ∠BAC=30∘,∠ABC=45∘\angle BAC=30^{\circ},\angle ABC=45^{\circ} . Prove that if XX lies on the ray ACAC , YY lies on the ray BCBC and OX=BYOX=BY , where OO is the circumcentre of triangle ABCABC , then SXYS_{XY} passes through a fixed point.
