Problem 2

Prove the inequality: (1+sin⁡2α)n+(1+cos⁡2α)n≥2(32)n(1+\sin^2\alpha)^n+(1+\cos^2\alpha)^n\ge2\left(\frac32\right)^n is true for every natural number nn . When does equality hold?

Problem 3

In the triangle ABCABC , angle bisector CDCD intersects the circumcircle of ABCABC at the point KK .

(a) Prove the equalities: 1ID−1IK=1CI,CIID−IDDK=1\frac1{ID}-\frac1{IK}=\frac1{CI},\enspace\frac{CI}{ID}-\frac{ID}{DK}=1 where II is the center of the inscribed circle of triangle ABCABC . (b) On the segment CKCK some point PP is chosen whose projections on AC,BC,ABAC,BC,AB respectively are P1,P2,P3P_1,P_2,P_3 . The lines PP3PP_3 and P1P2P_1P_2 intersect at a point MM . Find the locus of MM when PP moves around segment CKCK .

Problem 4

In the space there are given crossed lines ss and tt such that ∠(s,t)=60∘\angle(s,t)=60^\circ and a segment ABAB perpendicular to them. On ABAB it is chosen a point CC for which AC:CB=2:1AC:CB=2:1 and the points MM and NN are moving on the lines ss and tt in such a way that AM=2BNAM=2BN . The angle between vectors AM→\overrightarrow{AM} and BM→\overrightarrow{BM} is 60∘60^\circ . Prove that:

(a) the segment MNMN is perpendicular to tt ; (b) the plane α\alpha , perpendicular to ABAB in point CC , intersects the plane CMNCMN on fixed line ℓ\ell with given direction in respect to ss ; (c) all planes passing by ellell and perpendicular to ABAB intersect the lines ss and tt respectively at points MM and NN for which AM=2BNAM=2BN and MN⊥tMN\perp t .
