Other problems

Problem 1

Show that a square can be inscribed in any regular polygon.

Problem 2

For s,t∈Ns,t \in \mathbb{N} , consider the set M={(x,y)∈N2∣1≤x≤s,1≤y≤t}M=\{ (x,y) \in \mathbb{N} ^2 | 1 \le x \le s, 1 \le y \le t \} . Find the number of rhombi with the vertices in MM and the diagonals parallel to the coordinate axes.

Problem 3

Find all possible values of x0x_0 and x1x_1 such that the sequence defined by:

xn+1=xn−1xn3xn−1−2xnx_{n+1}=\frac{x_{n-1} x_n}{3x_{n-1}-2x_n} for n≥1n \ge 1

contains infinitely many natural numbers.

Problem 4

Find the largest nn for which there is a natural number NN with nn decimal digits which are all different such that n!n! divides NN . Furthermore, for this largest nn find all possible numbers NN .

Problem 5

Show that for every convex nn -gon (n≥4)( n \ge 4) , the arithmetic mean of the lengths of its sides is less than the arithmetic mean of the lengths of all its diagonals.

Problem 6

Given a positive integer nn , find all functions F:N→RF: \mathbb{N} \rightarrow \mathbb{R} such that F(x+y)=F(xy−n)F(x+y)=F(xy-n) whenever x,y∈Nx,y \in \mathbb{N} satisfy xy>nxy>n .
