RU-ALLRUSSIAN 1980 Problem 11

    Let f(n)\mathbf{f}(\mathbf{n}) be the sum of n\mathbf{n} and its digits. For example, f(34)=41\mathbf{f}(34) = 41 . Is there an integer such that f(n)=1980\mathbf{f}(\mathbf{n}) = 1980 ? Show that given any positive integer m\mathbf{m} we can find n\mathbf{n} such that f(n)=m\mathbf{f}(\mathbf{n}) = \mathbf{m} or m+1\mathbf{m} + 1 .
