Denote by AA the set of all positive integers kk such that k=x2−ax2−y2k=\frac{x^{2}-a}{x^{2}-y^{2}} for some integers xx and yy with x>ax>\sqrt{a}. Denote by BB the set of all positive integers kk such that (1) is satisfied for some integers xx and yy with 0⩽x<a0 \leqslant x<\sqrt{a}. Prove that A=BA=B.
