BxMO 2025 Problem 1

Does there exist a function $f\colon \mathbb{R}\to \mathbb{R}$ such that

$$f\big(x^{2} + f(y)\big) = f(x)^{2} - y$$

for all $x,y\in \mathbb{R}?$
