Other problems

Problem 1

Find the greatest positive integer NN with the following property: there exist integers x1,…,xNx_{1}, \ldots, x_{N} such that xi2−xixjx_{i}^{2}-x_{i} x_{j} is not divisible by 1111 for any i≠ji \neq j.

Problem 2

Let nn be a positive integer. Suppose that its positive divisors can be partitioned into pairs (i.e. can be split in groups of two) in such a way that the sum of each pair is a prime number. Prove that these prime numbers are distinct and that none of these are a divisor of nn.

Problem 3

Find all functions f:R→Zf: \mathbb{R} \rightarrow \mathbb{Z} such that

(f(f(y)−x))2+f(x)2+f(y)2=f(y)⋅(1+2f(f(y)))(f(f(y)-x))^{2}+f(x)^{2}+f(y)^{2}=f(y) \cdot(1+2 f(f(y)))

for all x,y∈Rx, y \in \mathbb{R}.

Problem 4

A circle ω\omega passes through the two vertices BB and CC of a triangle ABCA B C. Furthermore, ω\omega intersects segment ACA C in D≠CD \neq C and segment ABA B in E≠BE \neq B. On the ray from BB through DD lies a point KK such that ∣BK∣=∣AC∣|B K|=|A C|, and on the ray from CC through EE lies a point LL such that ∣CL∣=∣AB∣|C L|=|A B|. Show that the circumcentre OO of triangle AKLA K L lies on ω\omega.
