BALKAN 2008 Problem 1

  • Paper

An acute-angled scalene triangle ABCA B C is given, with AC>BCA C>B C. Let OO be its circumcentre, HH its orthocentre, and FF the foot of the altitude from CC. Let PP be the point (other than AA ) on the line ABA B such that AF=PFA F=P F, and MM be the midpoint of ACA C. We denote the intersection of PHP H and BCB C by XX, the intersection of OMO M and FXF X by YY, and the intersection of OFO F and ACA C by ZZ. Prove that the points F,M,YF, M, Y and ZZ are concyclic.
