APMO 2018 Problem 1

  • Paper

Let HH be the orthocenter of the triangle ABCA B C. Let MM and NN be the midpoints of the sides ABA B and ACA C, respectively. Assume that HH lies inside the quadrilateral BMNCB M N C and that the circumcircles of triangles BMHB M H and CNHC N H are tangent to each other. The line through HH parallel to BCB C intersects the circumcircles of the triangles BMHB M H and CNHC N H in the points KK and LL, respectively. Let FF be the intersection point of MKM K and NLN L and let JJ be the incenter of triangle MHNM H N. Prove that FJ=FAF J=F A.
